The Heathen Homemaker’s Weekly Meal Plan
Week 9: 09/13/15 – 09/19/15
Last week I was feeling cheap. Like, really cheap. Like, OMG-The-Credit-Card-Bill-Was-How-Much-? cheap. So tried to go bargain basement.
This week…. well I don’t have a witty comment this week. I’m tired to the bone and coming up with a plan this week felt like hitting my head against a brick wall. I should have just planned a week of slow cooker meals!
What are you having for dinner?
This week
Sunday – Roasted chicken [1], oven fries, roasted carrots
Monday – Mexican zucchini and beef, brown rice, fresh rolls [2]
Tuesday – 15-bean soup w smoked sausage, day-old rolls (perfect for sopping!)
Wednesday – Homemade pizza* using the ABin5* olive oil dough
Thursday – Slow cooker pot roast with potatoes, onions and carrots
Friday – Vegan avocado pasta, roasted broccoli, garlic bread
Saturday – cookout with can’t-really-call-them hot dogs, slaw, chips
[1] I don’t do anything fancy to make a roast chicken. I rub some salt and olive oil on it, shove some garlic and rosemary from the garden in it and throw it in the oven at 400°. I use a Thermopen ChefAlarm, so I don’t even have to set a timer!
[2] I use the ABin5 master recipe for rolls.
What are your go-to meals when you’re just too tired to think about it? Let me know in the comments!
